Fr Thomas Karamakuzhiyil
Thomas was born in Kerala in southern India. He joined the Catholic seminary at 16 and was ordained a Priest in 1997. He worked in India until 2004 when he came to Australia. He served in Narre Warren, Foster and Yarram in Victoria before joining the Anglican Church in 2010 becoming the District Priest to the South Yorke Peninsula. During his time there he started the Mission to Seafarers at Port Giles, worked with Blazeaid to support bush fire recovery in South Australia and took a leadership role in building an orphanage in Nepal. He started his ministry as the Parish Priest of Mount Barker in 2016.
